Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Sergi, the founder and creative force behind Lazy Stencils. My journey into the world of stenciling began over a decade ago, spanning continents and fueled by a relentless passion for artistic expression. Originally hailing from Ukraine, I made the life-changing decision to move to the bustling metropolis of New York City in 2013. Little did I know that this leap of faith would set the stage for an incredible odyssey of artistic discovery.
 

My initiation into the world of stenciling was expected, to say the least. As I explored the diverse culture of New York City, I found myself drawn to the mesmerizing art of spray paint. Guided by mentors and inspired by the pulsating energy of the city, I soon found myself creating intricate skylines and celestial wonders that captivated the imagination of tourists and locals alike.
 

My initiation into the world of stenciling was serendipitous, to say the least. When I was 10, I made my first stencil using a knife on cardboard. It took me an hour to make a stencil. I sprayed it on a building with a message about quitting smoking. Seeing people smoke made me upset. After that, I didn't make any more stencils because it was too difficult.
 

With each stroke of the blade and every burst of color, I honed my skills and expanded my repertoire, experimenting with new techniques and pushing the boundaries of what was possible with stencils. Despite the challenges and frustrations that often accompanied this journey, my unwavering dedication to my craft never wavered.
 

In 2020, amidst the unprecedented challenges of the global pandemic, I made a great decision that would forever change the trajectory of doing stencils. Fueled by a desire to elevate the quality of my products and meet the growing demand from my Instagram&YouTube subscribers to get nice stencils, I invested in state-of-the-art laser technology – the Glowforge Pro. This cutting-edge equipment revolutionized the way I created stencils, allowing for unparalleled precision and craftsmanship.
 

With the acquisition of the Glowforge Pro, Lazy Stencils entered a new era of innovation and excellence. From intricate multi-layered designs to durable plastic stencils that withstand the test of time, each product is meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of quality and durability.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention why I chose the name "Lazy Stencils" for my shop. Back in October 2019, when I was brainstorming ideas for my future stencil shop, the word "lazy" caught my attention. I liked it because when you get one of my stencils, you don't have to do much except apply the paint over it. All the hard work of designing and cutting the stencils is already done for you. All that's left for you to do is unleash your creativity with just a little effort and imagination.
